Global Naim...

Posted by: ken c on 26 October 2008

i am curious to know in which countries naim users are - nothing scientific, just for fun. of course we know already there are many naim users in uk and us -- but would be interested to know about other countries that make up this happy family... Smile

please post where u are, and if you like -- what system you have.

Hi, I live in the always sunny South-East of Spain, no Naim dealer near but I bought a s/h nait 5i and got really pleased. Since that I have made several upgrades, being very happy with my setup. Still looking for new pair of speakers, much more difficult choice that which Naim box should come next.

thanks guys -- one of these days when i can afford a world tour -- i will make a point to visit you all -- the bonus being to listen to a familiar sound from a naim system and sample local delights at the same time. the nice thing is that i predict that i will enjoy all systems i will listen to. oh my, what fun that will be!

where are all those scandinavians we "see" hear from time to time?

Hi Maurice,
What a lovely city

Swiss chocolate is OK......but Belgium invented the Praline, the balliton (box) and is still home to many great choclatiers including Pierre Marcolini. Winker

.......and you can eat as many Belgian Choclates as you like and not put on a gram Razz

....well maybe the last point was not entirely correct

tschuss,

sandy8, thanks, nothing lowly about that system. i have fond memories of my last visit to vancouver with my wife in 1981. i particularly recall a restaurant (cant recall the name -- will ask my wife - she has a better memory) where we had excellent salmon..

Lots of changes in Vancouver since 1981, especially the last few years as we are getting ready for the 2010 olympics...

As you probably know Ken, I am quite well travelled and therefore may be able to offer an informed opinion?

Firstly, ease of access - Well, I think there are more European members than non European - please correct me if I'm wrong. So, Europe would be the best bet, probably central. There are plenty of cheap flights within Europe too.

Secondly, A meeting place or places.

Thirdly, Things to do of a musical nature.

Fourthly, Good shopping for one's partners (where appropriate).

I vote Vienna for these reasons.

Kind regards,

Peter
