Global Naim...
Posted by: ken c on 26 October 2008
i am curious to know in which countries naim users are - nothing scientific, just for fun. of course we know already there are many naim users in uk and us -- but would be interested to know about other countries that make up this happy family...
please post where u are, and if you like -- what system you have.

Richard,
Naca5 for me thanks

The system sounds brilliant the way it is

We tried the Chord Signature on the Amati's with Geoff when he came, we put the Naca back after 15', that tells it all!
Geoff didn't even want to bother to try them, after listening to the system for 3 days...it sounded that good

That's why I didn't bother with the Yter cables...
As for the Cardas's, all my demo at the dealers were with those cables + Acuphase or Mc Intoch, Audio Research or Airtight electronics, didn't like the Acuphase and Mc Intoch at all...however the way my system sounds is in a different league, I don't question it, I just sit back and enjoy the music

Regards,
Edouard

a little digression -- over the past few weeks, i have learnt to extract the absolute max (i believe) from these speaker cables, by dressing them

That tells exactly nothing.... Just as heard combinations with other components and a Cardas cable tell nothing.
But it's great that you're completely happy with your beautiful system so forget about it. Hold this state of mind Edouard, it's a rare and usually short state of mind in this silly hobby!!

If you're ever in Amsterdam I'll swap the Golden Gross for the NACA5 on the Guarneris and you tell me what you hear...

Richard.

And if you're ever in Leiderdorp, I 'll do the same.
I can not understand why people stay with NACA 5.
Something wrong with the ears I suppose...
And sorry for the off topic. I think there is allready enough said about speakercables...

Hi Christian,
You may not have so many beers in Norway, but you have a stunningly beautiful country which is enough to intoxicate anyone. I have very pleasant memories of sailing northwards on the Hurtigruten route a couple of years back - troll fiord etc.
Skal,
Barrie
Cheers to you too.
Norway have some spectacualar nature. But I find the traditional England (for instance) much more exotic. Everyones home country is "common".
With the new wave of microbreweries, we have got some great beers. But sadly, the pilsner-types have more than 99% market share.
More people shold taste a nice ale, poster og stout.
(I have never been to GB... )
