which phono stages advice welcomed

my current system is orb se\rb300\ortofonmc15 super 11 \ 82 with 2 hicaps \180 \ sbl my next step is a phono stage i know final decision is down to what my earstell me but any advice on which ones to demo will be welcome

Welcome aboard.

The Naim 'Stageline' is excellent v.f.m. at £175. What spoils this, is the fact that it needs a dedicated power supply (unless you have a 52).

You could use one of your Hi-Caps, currently feeding the 82; if funds are limited.

Getting phono boards out of the 82 will also improve other sources.

Will other power supply with the same output as a Hi-Cap do the job?
Of course performance will be compramised, but can be a good interim solution for some who need time to save up for a Hi-Cap like me........
