Simple Flatcap questions

The Flatcap can power 2 components, right? Could it power both a CD5 and 32.5 pre?

Flatcap2 can(although the supplies are not of the same quality). Flatcap the original cannot do so.

As Ben said, only the Flat-Cap2 can do what you need. You use the primary supply on the 32.5, and the secondary on the CD5.

A friend has Flat Cap2 with Nait5 & a CD5. I have lent him an original Flat Cap to power the CD5 so as to leave the FC2 to power only the Nait5. Is this the best option?

The Flat-Cap2 is better than the older Flat-Cap. If you have a CD5 or CD3.5 and a Naim pre-amp, the better supply should go on the pre-amp.

If you have two supplies, then put the better one on the pre-amp. If you have only one, then try the CD then the pre-amp, and decide which you like better. Each configuration provides different benefits.
