Apologias to you N.Hemsiphere types if I'm way behind in terms of what's current but I just saw (at the 34th Auckland International Film Festival):
a) Blue Wild Angel - the complete 1970 Isle Of Wight Fstival set by Jimi Hendrix. A total blast from start to finish
b) 24-hour Party People - a dramatisation of the life and times of the Hacienda Club and Factory Records in Manchester 1976-1992. Very entertaining, extremely well put together using old footage spliced (almost seamlessly at times) with dramatisation and very well cast. A tale of four egos - Tony Wilson, Ian Curtis, Martin Hannett and Shaun Ryder - and what a wanker SR is/was!
Both warmly recommended.
