Nah, I definitely think we should plan our own p**s up James, as we discussed.

Corporate is for other occasions.

I will be buying my tickets for the November internationals and the 6 nations next week. I have 4 seats at mid field in the lower east stand.
Not so sure how many of these tickets I will be needing so any spares can be available at cost.

I'm very much looking forward to the new season. It will be interesting to see how the teams adjust to the ELVs. I know a lot of the NH have written them off already but I quietly think that once you have tried them you may actually like them....

I live 10 mins from Twickers so look forward to going to a few games at the Stoop (although I support Bristol!)

Not a good start to the season from Wasps losing the opening encounter with the Exiles 26-14.

We will have to do better than this, especially with most of the team due to be absent for half of the season with the Autumn internationals and the Six Nations.

Still, it is customary for us to start slowly. I just hope we don't miss Dallaglio too much this year.

I'm not going to crow (much ), as we've got the Cherry and Whites this afo at Kingsholm, and Tigers' new coach Meyer, who's been in post for only a few weeks, is being sensibly cautious (we've got a number of first string players off injured too).

On the strength of Tigers' bonus point win over them last season, I'm taking JWM jnr and friend to Tigers' first home game on Saturday against Exiles. Should be a good match to both enjoy myself and inspire the young 'uns! (Despite the unfortunate defeat, JWM jnr really loved last season's GP Final at HQ.)

I am still here live and kicking, new season ticket in hand.

Well it is going to be very interesting, Tigers at home today, Bath away next week.

Who ever compiled the fixtures had a sense of humour.

Anyway Wasps lost yesterday so there is a god after all!

'tis wise not to crow too soon, Mr Fisher, as Mr JWM points out! History should teach you that!

It is extremely good that Wasps lost yesterday; never mind that Gloucester have been unsuccessful to a second rate team before. Past performance is no indication of future performance. Gloucester do need to beat Leicester today (5-6 at half time as I write).

Fortunately, Wasps losing does not prove the existence of a god.

No, Wasps are not the Man Utd - even I would not stoop so low as to compare a RU side to a bunch of football wankers. Wasps just deserve to be beaten all the time. Unfortunately they aren't, but if other sides just pull their weight.....

Nice to see the friendly banter has started as well as we did last weekend against Glous - looking forward to a really good season and our first home game vs London Irish hope some of the first team are back - mind you did not seem to have to bad an effect last week.

One thing for sure things are going to hot up!! esp on the evening of the 26th at Welford RD

Sadly couldn't justify a season ticket, but I'm delighted to be taking my son and friend tomorrow vs the Exiles. As you say, should be a great one.

Well, a great day out, plus a result for the Tigers. We were quite near the front of the Crumbie Stand Terrace, at the 22m line with Tigers attacking in the 2nd half.

Their game was not without errors, one of which backfired to the cost of a try against them. When you do a quick throw-in, you do have to make sure it ends up in the hands of your bloke, not the oppo's...

Exiles at times played very well. Their South Seas players are awesome lumps of beef! Their substitute scrum half, Eoghan Hickey, showed himself to be not quite as good as he thinks he is, and a cocky little show off (with a J-P Rives hairdo to boot!) and I'm surprised he didn't get a bit of ruck justice. He'll have to be careful another time, I think, with a less disciplined opposing pack...

The person who had the worst game was the referee, Gloucestershire-born and bred Chris White (who has been known to make significant errors in the past, e.g. when he blew for time too early in the 2007 Italy vs Wales Six nations).

Perhaps in the heat of a tight game the ref might be forgiven (though shouldn't need to be) for missing the defending line being offside by a few inches, perhaps even a foot. But again and again the referee missed the Exiles' rush defence up to two yards offside... And, at one point, three yards from their line he allowed the defending (and clearly weaker) Exiles' scrum to cynically either collapse or stand up half a dozen times, without penalty.

Tigers' were possibly a bit hard done by with respect to their own score, yet they made mistakes that were inevitably punished. So all in all, it's probably not an unfair scoreline.

School Report: an acceptable start for a team lots of new boys, but must try harder.

Well 2 good results this w/e. Wasps thrashed by minnows Worcester. Huzzah!

And Gloucester beat Bath at the Recreation Ground (an unusually inappropriate name when Glovester have played in the past, but yesterday......).

Here is hoping that Wasps continue to achieve all they deserve to achieve this year.

I am sure your hope will come true; after all they have done exactly that every other season!

I've not caught any of the Wasps action on TV so far. Are they just starting slowly or is there some fundamental reason why the wheels appear to have come off?

Watched the Barf/Glaws match the other day and it reminded me how immediate watching the GP is vs. internationals.

Yes we have suffered as the sting in the tail with those pesky wasps

I don't thing any team as played really well in the first few games I know we have n't as JVM very good review of the exciles on Sat at Welford rd - Chris White had a bad game

I still think the players are trying to work with the new ELV's - it caught us out and cost us 7 points

I hope we can do better against Worcs on Sat and look forward to Friday 26th!! - James are you up for a beer pre match??
