'Morning JeremyB
X is a good one for me - not a bad one in there but it does only contain various XTC and X-Ray Specs.
Q is not bad either containing Quicksilver Messenger Service among others.
Have not figured out how to file 10cc and 10,000 Maniacs. Should they be under "T" or 1?
have a good one

On music collector they appear at the top of the list entered as numbers.Alphabetically descending.
I have lots in R, quite a few in S and T

It's Status Quo

Status Quo, also known as The Quo, are an English rock band whose music is characterized by their distinctive brand of boogie rock. The group's origins were in "The Spectres" founded by schoolboys The Francis Rossi and The Alan Lancaster in 1962. After a number of lineup changes, the band became "The Status Quo" in late 1967, finally settling on the name "Status Quo" in 1970quote:Originally posted by BigH47:

My albums were when the band were at their peak in the 60s -

What ever happened to the Roy Lynes?
I agree that by The Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon they had dropped the the and become simply Status Quo, but then we all make mistakes, forgive me. I guess the the had become like Ice in the sun and melted away.
The Attack
The Creation
The Zutons
are three more great bands to file under "T"
next to the The T-Rex.

Would I be believed if I claimed for The Pubert Brown Fridge Occurrence? It's very good BTW
"Deep in the heart of Sydney's inner west dwells a musical collective steeped in the lysergic sounds and vibrations of late 60's and early 70's British Beat and psychedelic era. Names like The Kinks, The Move, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and the Small Faces are revered by this bunch of musical misfits known mysteriously as The Pubert Brown Fridge Occurrence. The music contained on the disc, entitled 'A Once And Future Thing', IS their sound."

Are there people who don't arrange their music alphabetically then?

Yes...I arrange mine in sections. For example:quote:Originally posted by Andy1912:

JAZZ is a large section, subdivided into 'Solo Piano', 'Saxaphone lead players', 'Horn lead players', 'Big Bands', 'Fusion' and so on. Within these, individual artist are kept as subdivisions so for example Oscar Peterson is all in one lump, Bill Evans another.
Other sections are for example Female vocal sorted first by a large section for Jazz with the likes of Sara Vaughan then a second section for pop where Tina Turner appears. In the rock & pop male section groups are filed as a seperate area vs individual artists.
This approach avoids 'strange compamy' filings such as Ellington next to the Eagles, Miles Davis in with Dire Straits, or Nina Simone next to Sade.
I can head for a specific section depending on what sort of music I want to listen to then nattow it to a specific title as a I scan the section.
regards
Geoff.

Nothing wrong with that. Me personally, I'm a little uneasy about compartmentalizing music. I hate going into record stores (when there were record stores), and going to that little closed off section for classical. Like I'm in some hermetically sealed off, germ free compartment. Hey, I'd rather browse with the 'unwashed'.
But to get back on topic. I never come home after a hard days work and think: "I'd like to hear some Jazz" or "I'd like to hear some Classical Piano". Just not how my mind works.
I might think I'm in the mood for some Miles, or I'd like to hear Dire Straits (I'm never in the mood for Dire Straits, but I'm just being hypothetical).
At any rate, at some point, you're going to have to alphabetize.
