Sistem pics 2003

Posted by: Steve Toy on 14 January 2003

Here are a few crappy pics. I've got some of Stallion's rig too, but I await his permission to post them.

I need to get the file size down. I see that we now get 50k Smile

Regards,

Steve.

Will not be available for you to see until someone tells me how to upload pictures to this confounded website.

And I'm calm..... serenity now.

Wolf,
Yes, my girlfriend has the white album Embossed #A2186679. Has the 4 separate pictures also. Great condition. My favorite song right now on it is Savoy Truffle. I am also a big fan of Rubber Soul which I have.

Martin
That cartridge is so naked, I almost feel dirty looking at it....almost. Eek

garyi
It is a Benz Micro Ace high output. The low output is red and the medium output is clear. At least I believe that is how it works. I wish I could spout off a bunch of cartridge lingo about blackness, punch, depth, etc., all I have is...we really like it.

Oh,
And the Sbls are here, were set up beautifully, and garyi, I made sure he followed your re-build guide to a tee; that little bi*#h boy even scrubbed up. They are setting in so very nicely. Pictures soon.

Alright then, here's the curent version of ricosystem IV...

Sure the proximity to rack of SBL, corner placement, and Dingo on floor are less than ideal. Well, at least I dusted!

very nice rico, I also like the angle of presentation, I bet it's authoritative as hell.

mmm wonder what the 82 Scap is like with SBLs
Posted on: 13 March 2003 by Rico
82/Scap good with SBL's. System authoritative? Perhaps, although my suspended wooden floor probably makes use of the mana (read: softens it a little, the mana's playing to its good strengths where they're needed here)... can't afford Fraim for the next couple of years (much as I like the way it sounds), no Hutter down here to substitute against it.

<<not a mana zealot, just running some old angles. Note absence of soundstages/levels.

Rico,

Curious as to how yr lingo cable reaches?
Posted on: 13 March 2003 by Dobbin
Here's mine!

And...

Please note the use of the Kenwood car radio box supporting the lingo/linto!

Dobbin-man! You're seriously in need of some better loudspeakers now!

Speakers! These replaced my old Keilidhs so getting better ones may prove tough particularly as budget for hi-fi now being redirected to the little fella. Just out of interest I'd be interested in recommendations though! As you can see the room has some interesting angles. Speakers have to be free standing. The 805's are actually very good btw...

Congratulations Dobbin!

Recommendation for one year hence - a wall support for the LP12. I learnt the hard way - MC30 Supreme and an amateur dj do not go well together!!!

Looking forward to new pre and some Naim 135 amps in the near future.

Goose -

Seriously interesting system! How do the ProAcs get on with the 300Bs?

Tim
Posted on: 23 March 2003 by audiogoose
Tim:
The Proac's sound great with the SET's. I just can't play Them at extremely loud levels.
Imaging is first rate, as is soundstaging. Good depth and width.
Low end may be a little light, however.
