Sistem pics 2003

Here are a few crappy pics. I've got some of Stallion's rig too, but I await his permission to post them.
I need to get the file size down. I see that we now get 50k
Regards,
Steve.

My System...

Only thing I'd have done is incorporated the 500+PSU, 552 PSU and XPS into one rack and your CDS2 head unit/552/NAT01(02?) tuner on another; thus keeping the noisy transformers contained in the PSUs/power amp well away from the more delicate source and control components. This makes a big difference to the performance.
Marco,
apart from the Nat02 Erik has his system organised as per Naim's recommendation - the 500 counts as a source component.

Audiogoose is using Osiris stands. They look to be 24 inches tall. They are still available. I own a pair as well and they are very stable.
Email me if you have more questions.

I like yor use of spacer shelves - it certainly helps!

Nice system, Markcas!
I love your system supports.
How do do you like your P3 compared to your CDSII+XPS ? I'm thinking of getting me a (Rega) TT myself, but I'm afraid that a P3 wouldn't be a worthy competitor next to my CDX.

Alco

Alco,
I had a P25/Elys, and the CDX bettered it.
I suppose it depends on what your primary source is. Vinyl was never mine simply because I didn't have enough records. However, if you have a big vinyl collection, then a really decent TT like a P9/Garrard/LP12 etc would be the way to go.

Steve.

Thanks Alco,
The supports are made by Isoblue.
Ilove my P3/Dynavector 10x4. No, it's not as good as the CDSII but it's very enjoyable to listen to, and does not embaress the system. You should check it out, you might be surprised how good it can sound.
Cheers
Mark.

great minds and all that
John
I was about to say the same thing. Strange how Erik has all the transformers on the right hand rack, eh!? Guess there's a reason for that.

My stands are 28" high. They are indeed Osiris. I see you are in the Indianapolis area. What type of system do you have?

Stallion
I have tried a lot of combinations in placing the boxes on the stands and to have the boxes without transformer on one rack really improves everything. Maby the tuner could have had it better on the left one but it still have a small transformer inside.
I have changed place between the NAT 02 and 500PS and again a little improvement.

I have to admit that your set up is the smartest I have seen.
Not a bloody cable in sight and everything well positioned.
