Sistem pics 2003

Posted by: Steve Toy on 14 January 2003

Here are a few crappy pics. I've got some of Stallion's rig too, but I await his permission to post them.

I need to get the file size down. I see that we now get 50k Smile

Regards,

Steve.

hello,
here are some pictures I took this afternoon with the 2 mega pixel hp camera that my fathers wife gave to me so we could post some pictures of our forthcoming baby on the web.

well, until that baby gets here, I'll practice with this baby...

Usually the 250 and supercap are downstairs on top of a tall rack but I had to bring them upstairs while we did some electrical work downstairs, and there is usually a lovely lp 12 with aro where the 250 is.

and I have speakers too...

Who can identify the item on the wall?

and for stereo....

and don't cheat by right clicking on image and then left click on properties and then look at the url address which contains the title of the photo which, for clarity, I named as the object in question.

cheating is bad

What brand is that tape deck btw?

OK, so my gear is dirt cheap and pants compared to most of yours (and the only Naim at present is speaker cable) but here's my rig (the items on the bottom of each rack are an Akai CR81D 8track recorder, and a Sony MD):

Blimey - some people seem to have loads of vinyl and or CDs round their rigs... I'll bung a couple of my shots up - they're too low-res for people to read the spines on the CDs or LPs though thank god...

And those horrible silver beermats, crapovision, and some obsolete audio magnetic media (carts and cassette)

Urm... Smile I give up!

Seriously though, I'm partially sighted, so I make sure everything is ordered neatly otherwise I literally would never find it! Half the time I'm like a dinosaur - if I'm not expecting to see something I won't see it...

Oh - and the geeky answer to the Blockbuster question - my VHS are all in small cases (barring the horizontal ex-rental large cases on the bottom shelf) Smile

He he he - actually I have a 6th of a normal person's sight in my left and a 10th in my right - just have a large-ish TFT monitor on low-ish res, with my nose about 4 inches from the screen Smile

Those tapes I can spot a mile off though - they were a fantastic design. Plus the white hub on the black plastic shows up more than on the window side of the tape, so it's a dead giveaway! How sad is that...?

I didn't notice the stylus cleaner, but I sure would like to get one (note, NOT off of Epay!).

Well, here is an updated picture with the 82 in it. There are some SBLs on the way tomorrow morning. Excited about those. There will also be a cdx in the next month. Since we play 95% lps, I dont care that I have piggy backed the cd3 on top of the Nakamichi....of course, when the cdx arrives, it will be goodbye Nakamichi.

Ah, the patter of tiny styli...

Just getting to grips with this rather fragile-looking monster.

Dealer had kittens installing it ("there's nowhere for me to grab it"). Those tiny lead-out wires are so incredibly exposed. I had no idea how daunting it would be to use until I had it in the flesh in front of me.

Ah, the joys of vinyl. How practical.

cheers, Martin

Nice Maxwell, looks good in the corner. I also approve of your top album "Help" by the Beatles, do you have their white album? It is really amazing. I think my favorite for now at least.

Max, I don't know what your cart is but its shiny and blue and I want one.

Martin our house gets dusty, that cart wouldn't stand a chance!
