RB300 Arm lifter...what's the point?

Posted by: nodrog on 04 February 2002

The lifter on my RB300, on a Rega P3, doesn't even come close (actually abt 0.5mm away) to touching the arm at its highest point (ie when supposedly fully lifted). How can it be adjusted? There doesn't seem to be a way of doing it via a simple screw etc. Do I need to look underneath the table?
It's annoying me!

Thanks,

Peter

There's a tiny grub screw (allen key time) in the side of the base of the armlift. Undo it and lift the arm lift so it's high enough. Do up the grub screw.

I can't find an Allen key screw near the base of the arm lifter. there is one at the top, but it only seems to allow the actual 'lifting arm' to move round.

Sorry about my description. When the grub screw is loosened you can pull up the lifting arm.
