Can a SNAPS power a 42.5?

If so where can I get one, and for how much?

I fancy this upgrade if it is possible, as I have never had a seperate powersuply on the 42.5.

Yes a Snaps can power a 42.5, but you need a shorting plug in the back in the 5 pin Din socket.

Unless you convert the SNAPS to dual rail.

The shorting plugs are only £4.50 new inc p&p from Naim, not the (last time I looked) £5.00 + £1.50 p&p s/h one on ebay.

Buy a 5pin 240 degree DIN socket to replace one of the 4 pins.

Wire both orange +24V wires to this socket, along with the Green 0V and the two blue audio links (see Naim PSU manual for conenction details).

Then a new 5 pin black SNAIC, or old grey 5 pin can be used to get better performance than the link plug option.

Alternatively a DIY link plug is easy - 1 5 pin 240 degree plug and link the two outermost pins.
