"Phantom Limb may well be the most musically sophisticated (and satisfying) band the UK has produced in far too long a time." BBC Online

"Yolanda Quartey's vocal delivery p***es all over the competition" 5/5 Rock n Reel

"a warm beauty that belies the bleak subject matter" Q Magazine

Phantom Limb appear for the first time with Ros Stephen and the Sigamos String Quartet, in an evocative and unforgettable performance. A band amassing a horde of hardcore fans with every live performance, Phantom Limb, remind us every time they grace the stage how a great band should be in the 21st century. This stunning live recording, taken from a homecoming show in the dramatic acoustic of one of Bristol's most prestigious halls (in Autumn 2009), demonstrates material from the critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, insight into compositions for the bands eagerly awaited second album (expected 2011) and a spine-chilling interpretation of Hank Williams' dark country classic Angel of Death.

Hi Simon

I presume this is the same album that was available at the Naim stall at Bristol earlier this year?

And very good it is too!

I remember that I took a while to get into Phantom Limb's eponymous debut album. Heck! I'll even go as far as to say I didn't like it to begin with! But I persevered...

Had I had this live performance to get into from the go-get, I would have been into them straight away! Yesiree. Smile

Great stuff.
