What do you think of the album clubs lastest Andrew Bird its got a bit of a Beck feel to me I'm quite enjoying it.

How's it going?

I've only listened to it the once but found it very enjoyable. I'd say it was a bit more laid-back than I remember Beck to be, although I haven't heard his more recent stuff. I know what you mean though; melodically it seems to follow a similar pattern (if that makes sense).

Incidentally, I saw "Modern Guilt" by Beck ridiculously cheap somewhere (prob. Amazon). Have you heard it and if yes, is it any good?

Actually, not wishing to venture out much this weekend I have been replaying a few old Album Club offereings and getting more into them, namely "A Mountain of One" (like the bit at the beginning that sounds like someone running up some stairs Goon Show-style!) and "The Acorn" and appreciating them all the more.

I'm great thanks, I'm a big Beck fan and have Modern Guilt on Vinyl and I think it is superb its got a sixties pop feel to the production and arrangements I recommend you grab it especially if its cheap. The Acorn is fabulous album I never thought I could like alt. Country/Americana but thats one album I did like from the off.
