Top Gear

Really enjoying this. Clarkson has got it just right.
Even the wife watches it now, which speaks volumes for how he has managed to broaden it's appeal.

Yes very enjoyable, but clarkson is a bit 'forced' his laughter is false, his surprise is false, etc.
Some of the filming is amazing, but again very much set up I feel, such as the races across Europe.

Amusing yes,
Sabine in the Transit, v. good.
"Shall we watch the video / lap / film?", Er yes Jeremy, otherwise there would be a gap in the show for several minutes.
Car Nation after Top Gear is brilliant too!
The guy with the Hummers had me laughing out loud, and the bloke on the bike was very wise.

HTK - maybe you're just altogether sick of watching cars of any type on TV?

Well I enjoy watching TG, so there.
Will Sabine become a presenter? That is the question.

David describe your perfect woman?
Blonde hair , blue eyes pale complexion. Aesthetically pleasing good figure .
Pleasant disposition good sense of humour.
Loves cars
And drives almost as well as i do and is modest with all of the above.
SIMPLE
SABINE is my perfect woman.
I am in love.
Jodie Kidd ticks many of the above boxes too.
I do hope she does become a presenter as i feel that Top Gear needs to have an interesting female presenter to put some Ovaries and Oestrogen into the programm.
As Jeremy is now partially disabled the program needs another driving presenter and Sabine would do it for me.
VBH is pretty good on what should now be 7th gear, a racing driver with a great sense of humour and a wicked laugh.
Loverly.
SIGGGGHHHHHHH
regards David

Car Nation is too much like real life!
The guy with the Hummer should have "TOSSER" written in huge letters along the sides instead of Bummer. He and "the vacuous alien" should go to the pub with the affected pair of brainless twåts in the people carrier. 13mpg? Pardon?
Most of the other characters were great and remarkably funny at times. We loved it and laughed all the way through!

This programme used to review real cars for real people - now it offers escapism.

Well, I hope that one day I will be real enough to own a real Ferrari, Aston Martin, Pagani, Lamborghini - like the real ones they reviewed on Top Gear.

Was that video a wind-up?
Over 30mB at 20 KB/sec and then it dropped the line.
Talk about "a wet bit of string".

Gotta agree: Sabine is ideal-woman material.
Man, I even said out loud what I'd been intending only to think (in front of the wife) and got That Look.... hmmm...

Well if you want to see reviews of Ford Fiestas you can watch fifth gear.
Yes it is escapism, but I think thats the point.

Although I think a bit of Clarkson occasionally might be permissible in the scheme of things, I have often wondered how BBC is allowed to extort over £120 from UK licence-payers annually to promote combustion-engine road-rage/planetary/individual destruction. I think cars can be slower around human habitation areas/powered more ecologically soundly.
Clarkson etc could still tell us the advantages of these new machines.

It's about the presenters and the guests. It's got very little to do with cars. TG have bounced around over the years, trying to find a style and the present format seems about as base as it can get. Obviously got its inspiration from Blue Peter.
