How are we with Keith Jarrett's solo performances?

As it sit here typing this I have Keith Jarrett's Kyoto concert from the 'Sun Bear Concerts' set playing in the background ...

I appreciate the technical and improvisational skills of Keith Jarrett. He is without doubt a master musician. I just need to be in the right mood to listen to his live solo work.

Do we have any Keith Jarrett solo concert enthusiasts here? I also wondered if anyone has seen one of his solo concerts live. I saw him with Miles Davis' band way back when but never a solo concert.

DJ - this is defintely "right mood" music but when the mood and music work well together it is very special.

I do like the solo concerts though but it does require some effort and concentration to listen to them.

I have seen him live 4 times, one of them being a solo performance at the end of 2008 in London, which was released as the album Paris/London - Testament

I am a great fan of his solo piano discs. It started for me with hearing Koln Concert and to this day it is probably in my top 3 discs of all time.
