the baker boys or the bank job

this film was just released in the states, as "the bank job." not sure why the title was changed - we yanks would have thought it was a s. holmes movie?? anyway, already a lot of discussion here about how much of the plot was an embellishment. the work does try to present itself as a dramatization of actual events. what's the real story here? the american press doesn't seem to care, as we don't have the same obsession w/ the royals (here it's brittany, paris hilton, and brangela, et al., and now silda spitzer). i guess it's true princess margaret would tryst w/ her boyfriend in the islands (ho-hum), but how much of the rest of it is factual -- were there really photos in a bank vault, a heist, and lord mountbatten delivering fake passports to piccadilly station? it's a wild story.
