What are those two black oblong shaped thingys?

Also, does anyone know what the output impedance on Headline?

The answer you seek is probably: -

'Transistor Rooms'

No idea what the ouptut impedance is, but from Naim's website the Headline is suitable for headphones from 8 Ohms to 2kOhms, which should be all you need to know.

They seem to contain 2 or more transistors so I guess that they are to keep the temps the same ?
