Stageline or stay with MF XLPs?

What can I expect when I replace my Musical Fidelity XLPs for a stageline in combination with my FC2. I have a Rega P3 with Goldring 2022.

The Goldring is a 1022.

Theo - Not familiar with the XLP, but I can tell you that I am very happy with the Stageline, and I'm still driving it directly from my 202 (power supplies are down the road for me). The Stageline is vastly superior to the phono section that came with the preamp that was replaced by my 202 and, in my opinion, represents excellent VFM.

Hi Ross

I am running a stageline into a 202/NAPSC/200 and are pleased with it compaired with a Creek P/S it replaced, with a much fuller sound.
I expect it to improve over time as it is only two weeks old.

I had an XLPS2 that I traded for a Stageline. I felt that the difference was worth the extra 100Gbp that I paid when I traded. Notably, much better timing and coherance with noticeable better bass and drums. The trade off was less harmonic richness, but I didn't notice that for long.
