Thank you Frank. That's reassuring having read the other thread on audio delay. Suck it and see I guess. Noone else had a different experience?
Going to be an expensive weekend potentially - Pioneer plasma, Miele dishwasher and en suite sink and taps. However, plasma enables me to move my speakers to the correct walk after six and a half years. I'll finally be able to listen on the sofa rather than the floor!!! Then I can start saving for those floorstanders. Tee her!!!

When I spoke to the Pioneer reps at the Bristol show they said that a while before the decision to cease production of their flat screens was taken they had agreed a deal for Panasonic to make their panels. Pioneer would have still made the finished product with their software being crucial to perfomance.
It will be interesting to see if Panasonic now buy out the Pioneer patents and incorporate them in their own panels.
The sad fact is that most people just want large flat screen sizes and are not discerning (or rich) enough to pay a lot of money for it. Similar to using an MP3 source instead of vinyl or CD. Quantity over quality.
Pioneer were always expensive but then they designed for performance over price.

Money down. Bog standard Ikon bracket. 4 weeks to delivery and I now need to sort an installer.
More to the point I finally get to locate the system where it should be after 6 years and I'll be set up for those nice Zu speakers in a year or so unless I have a financial windfall.
To be honest I'm a bit wary of dismantling the system. All the work over the years has been done by my excellent dealer.
Anyway, much to look forward to. Mightily relieved on the price front too. Seem to have purchased at the absolute bottom price. 25% rise coming and then Kuro no more.
