Eagerly awaiting ...

How about a thread about upcoming releases that get one salivating? I'll start:
Keith Jarrett Trio - Always Let Me Go / Live in Tokyo
Rather than the standards they've been illuminating over the decades, like their previous and brilliant Inside Out, this one is also collective improvisation following no recipe.
Joni Mitchell - Travelogue
A companion to her previous Both Sides Now. Where that one was mostly standards, plus two of her own chestnuts, with orchestral accompaniment and guest soloists, the new one will be all Joni's songs, spanning most of her entire career, again featuring arrangements and orchestration by Vince Mendoza, and again with guest soloists Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and others.
So much music, so little time ...

The new Delgados album 'Hate' is out today. More deatils and preview tracks at
http://www.mantrarecordings.com/delgados/The new Sigur Ros album '()' is out on the 25th.
The fabulous new Low album "Trust" was out a couple of weeks ago. Lots of monumantal miserabilism ("My lungs are weak/From a childhood disease") but they actually rock out (relatively speaking) on one track. Their best since "Secret Name" I think.

I agree: Massive Attack. Can't wait.
I would have also added the New Order box set, Retro, but that's just come out..
Lou Reed's got a new LP out in Jan - guests include Bowie and Ornette Coleman. That should be a hoot.
A compilation I'm really looking forward to is Ike's Mood, The Instrumental Isaac Hayes. Speaks for itself really, but it's apparently coming out on vinyl too and contains lots of unreleased material! Relelased January.
Also: Jimi's Rainbow Bridge.

New Annie Lennox coming next year! Her Diva album is brilliant, one of my all-time favorites, and I dig Medusa a lot, too. The new one will have her own songs and, once again, I'm salivating.

Ben Harper Diamonds on the Inside
Probably a good deal rootsier than his latest studio album, Burn to Shine, which I thought was a bit disjointed and edgy. Due to be released March 11 and on order with A&B Sound. Strangely, the "High Fidelity"-style shop round the corner from where I live already has it, but I vowed to stay out of there because of the Jack Black impersonations, complete with unmotivated insults.
Afro Celt Sound System Seed
Probably won't be much different from their first three, but I've just got to have it. This is stuff to really show off the hifi and the boogie of your sistem.

Thanks Nick and Tom, I very much appreciate the sentiment.
But, in fact, it's not that the dog necessarily has good taste, it's that Dreamhouse tastes good.
