Anybody here own or listen to De La Soul? I'm curious about a couple of their recent releases--Mosaic Thump and Bionix. They're both also pre-titled--Art Official Intelligence. Are they any good? How would the instrumentals be?

I never really liked it. A few standout tracks (which aren't that great to begin with) and a lot of filler.
As far as insturmentals go, I'm not sure. Nothing from that album made an impression. I'll give it another listen soon to make sure.
Bionix is a better album by all accounts, but I'm not a fan of their new style in any case. Their new darker/harder groove is quite boring and uninnovative. It's nothing like "3ft High and Rising".
All IMHO, of course.
