NAP140 vs NAP 150

Hello

What's the difference in sound quality between a NAP 140 and a NAP150? In paper the difference in power between the two is only 10 watts. But, are those 10 watts significant upgrade in power?

Just asking. Confused

Frankly you'll probably not notice the change in power capabilities. What you WILL notice will be the change in how the sound is presented.
The old gear sounds quite a bit different to the newer stuff.
As a summary, the newer stuff is smoother, bit more refined and a better "all rounder". Some don't like it as they believe that the changes have detracted from the classic PRaT values.
Go listen for yourself to see what you think.

fwiw: when i did this comparison quite some time ago, i found the nap140 produced what i would describe as a more "anchored" sound whereas the 150 was subjectively lighter. this was through kans with the 112 preamp powered by a hicap.

enjoy
