AV2 Reverse lead.

Does anyone know if this lead still has to be the reversed type if you're planning on using a non Naim amp for front L R speaker duties - letting the AV2 take care of Center and rears. The lead is more than likely going to be a RCA to Din type (Din at the AV2 end) and pretty long too (poss up to 8m.

Thanks in advance!

No need, and probably not even possible to use a reversed lead here. However be careful with the lead you choose. The AV2 doesn't like to drive long lengths of i/c unless the lead is slugged with the appropriate loading. Naim can make one up to suit, just let your dealer know how long. Without such loading, you can get all kinds of noise issues and instability from the AV2.

If you do a search using the "find" facility you'll see that this lead has cured all kinds of issues where owners have tried to use longer than normal i/c lengths with the AV2.

Thanks Richard. I did wonder if the lead even needed to be reversed if it wasn't being used for a non-Naim amp so thanks for the clarification.

I did make a mental note of the need to have a resistor fitted too for this length of lead but forgot to add it to my post but thanks for the reminder anyway.

Cheers,

Rack.
