I've had my CD5, flatcap, 112, 150 for a week now and it sounds amazing.
And... I made it myself.

Obviously something embarrassing.
Ever cynical

Just because someone works somewhere does not mean they have, or must have, some special loyalty or belief.
I have friends who work for MGRover who drive Fords (they are not allowed to park in the company car park though).
I have several friends who are teachers in comprehensive schools and at least 2 of those have their children in private education.

I wish I could have made my CD5/112/FC2/150, that would have been fascinating.
Andy (the techy anorak type).

When I joined the company , over 5 years ago now , I was still using a 52PS so as part of my induction I was required to build a supercap, from scratch I may add. The whole task took me a ball breaking four days and three hours if I remember rightly and cost me a box of chocolates for a certain Sue Jennings on production who saved me at least as long.
Wise move, Paul--I build/repair/re-wire on an almost daily basis here and have a great amount of respect for the long-honed and -acquired skill of the folks who wire the stuff.
For what it's worth, about the only things in my system wired up from scratch are a Prefix and an Armageddon (NAPSA)--things that I knew I couldn't screw up. (The rest of system is in “Systems Analysis” thread)
Have built a pair of SBLs and a quite a few amps / power supplies from scratch--every bit rewarding as you adjust the last wire tie...

Just to be really awkward
May I ask the chaps/Ladies of Naim whether they use racks and also do they have a dedicated spur.
I suspect they think we are a bunch of saddos, my wife certainly does.

If I see you at the barbie - the next pint's on me.
