Question on Linn Motor Wiring

Can some one help me with this?

The Linn LP12 has 4 wires out - 1 red, 1 black and 2 grey.
Which is live, neutral and earth?

I don't seems to find any ground lead using my multimetre too.............

Strange thing I thought this is a safety requirement. I wonder if the previous owner did any change?
