A few years ago I met a French chef in Shrewsbury and he told me about a phone conversation with another chef in Monaco. The Monaco chef shared Chirac's opinion, and our man in Shrewsbury told him politely to feu qu'oeuf . He mentioned something about ze stek and ale pies being délicieux.
PS: I never liked Chirac as he was never a proper economically liberal Tory any more than B.Liar is a true Socialist (other than his bent for totalitarianism.)

Chirac is just a bitter old has-been who's lashing out in all directions since losing the vote on the European constitution.
