Cura CA-5 with Naim

Posted by: Alco on 30 April 2001

Hi folks,

I was surfing on the net, when I suddenly came across a speaker manufacturer website, CURA.

Has any of you ever listened to these speakers?

The entry-level CA-5 has a lot in common with the
famous early Linn Kan's. (well, it seems)
They're the same size (30x18x18cm), they're sealed and has to be used close to a rear wall, and
in some reviews they were praised for their speed
and detail.

The only thing they don't have in common with the original Kan's is their high sensitivety (88db for the Cura CA-5) and the many real-wood feneers to choose from!

So,...has anyone tried these little babies yet ?

Greetings,
Alco.

They're very nice little speakers indeed. Beautifully made, too. The music they make is fast and detailed and very 'together'. They retail for around £400 and need good stands, as well as that wall reinforcement.

They work well with Naim Audio, although they suffer in large rooms obviously.

Regards,
Frank.
