LP12 Troubles - diagnostic help?

Help!

Whilst playing a record my LP12 has slowed down to a stop!

I have removed the platter and belt, and the problem is that the motor is not going round.

It starts off O.K, then grinds to a halt after 30 seconds, on 33 or 45 rpm.

Any ideas for self help before ringing the dealer tomorrow ?

OTD - Nothing, because the bloody things stopped.

Only the wife, but I will check for grunge.

I have unplugged the Lingo and will power it up again in a while to see if it kicks it into life.

Or swap lingoes (lingii?) around to see if the problem is with deck or power.
