Attaching Jpegs

I know this has been asked before, but how do I attach a jpeg?
Here is a recent thread with the current workaround to insert images as links that autoload. They need to be somewhere else on the web.

The format is as follows
{IMG} myimage web address {/IMG}
just swap [ for { and ] for } insert the web address for your image, and you have it.
Which is what you get if you click on the little mountain icon in the post editor.
