I thought some one (Ronaldo) had eaten them all already?
Sounds like a job that could put you off pies for life. I wonder how long it would take though?

Pieminister are alright but nothing to get to excited about.
The trouble with all these trials is that the panel will say, 'yes very nice but it needs some meat in it'
And the bean counters, who are swayed by what people will pay for a pie say no, we will put the obligatory two pieces of dog meat in it and make the rest up with corn flour and salt.
There is only one way to get a decent pie, and thats make it.

There's an even better way to get great pies in my house Gary;
get the boss (AKA SWMTSIBO) to make it!

I prefer puff pastry Howard, but I was talking to a nutritionist last night.
She told me for a healthy balanced diet we should vary our pie habits & eat both short crust & puff pastry. Obviously not on the same pie, that would be silly!

I had a friend years ago that was from Texas. He made something called smothered chicken. Creamy base, lots of vegetables and fresh chicken in a huge pot. 1st dinner, it was laddled over wonderful biscuits he also hand made. Then he lined up pie tins and put that biscuit dough over the filled tins and made his own chicken pot pies and froze them.
He tried several times to show me how to quickly make the biscuits, but he just laughed and said "too much or not enough" no matter what I did. I now buy those cans of dough.
