elderly 135s

Sorry I've seen this before and can't find it on the search.

A friend has got a pair of elderly 135s (elderly means they were some of the first of the new style). I suggested they get re-capped after reading this on here somewhere.

1. Do they need the transformers / fans / anything else fixed ?

2. Does anyone know an approx price for 1. re-cap and 2. anything else that would need done to them ?

Many thanks, Andrew

They are probably due for a service if they've been used consistently.

A service will involve changing aged capacitors, testing everything etc. Usually fans/transformers will not need changing.

Cost is £130-£180 per unit depending on what gets done. As they are old you are probably looking at £180
