I saw him 10 years ago in Santa Barbara at an out door amphetheater. He was great, he had his large band with him. I only have a couple CDs of his but they are cherished. Enjoy the concert.

Will do, I've got a crackin seat. I've never seen him but always wanted too. Strangely haven't got any of his LP's only one single "You can't resist it". What do you recommend?

Well I don't know his entire output, but I really like Joshua Judges Ruth. songs are a little country thena little jazz road house and back again. Always intelligent lyrics and supreior recording techniques. I also have LL and his Large Band CD. He has a back up group of gospel singers and jazz band like in the show I saw. A lot of flexibility in this CD. I"m making a list of new purchases and plan to get more recent recordings of him and Ricki Lee Jones.
