Kind of Blue legacy edition & Pristine KoB?

I recently picked up the Pristine remastering of KoB. It sounds thinner and is more recessed compared with the Sony SBM version from 1997. Pristine says the Sony version is sometimes blurred and harsh in the lower midrange and their version is re-equalized with only targeted noise reduction. I think the Pristine is less open than the Sony and the bass opening of track one has had something done to it to tame it but it just sounds compromised; that's as close as I can come to identifying the difference.

Can anyone hear blur and harsh on the '97 version? Does anyone else have the Pristine version?

I've heard the 2009 Legacy edition has the clearest and most realistic sound yet. Anyone?

My favorite mastering is on the JPN 1st pressing (35DP) but it's very hard to find these days.

Or to the Japanese DSD version?
