Pulling phono boards from 82

Posted by: Chris Metcalfe on 23 July 2003

I know this is an old chestnut, but I couldn't find any relevant threads.

Just taken home on dem a CDS3/CDX2/XPS2 to trial vs my CDX/XPS, and thought I'd finally get round to this to maximise the 82's CD potential.

Opened the case, the 2 boards are horizontal next to the BNC inputs... had a tug, and while the outer metal pins were loose, there's an immovable something (white) holding them in. How to proceed?

The white stud you refer to retains the boards.
If you look closely at the white stud you will see there is a sprung part which when pinched will allow the board to be pulled up. Be careful,it is easy to cause damage and the gold plated studs shuld not be loose until you pull yhe board..
Proceed carefully, if in doubt contact Naim technical support who will advise you and talk through the process.
