Does anybody remember Lesley Duncan

Lesley Duncan died tragically from cerebrovascular disease on 12 March this year.

She was a singer/songwriter from Stockton-on-Tees. On her second album Sing Children Sing is Lesley's song Love Song, which was quite superb and covered by Elton John. I remember it as the stand out track on one of those CBS sampler albums {i]The Music People[/i].

Lesley worked on Elton's Tumbleweed Connection. She released a series of very good elpees including Earth Mother, Everything Changes and Moonbathing.

Lesley provided backing vocals for Scott Walker and Dusty Springfield and sung on Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon.

Love Song is on the CD compilation 'Gather in the Mushrooms'.
LD's album Earth Mother is great too.

Yes,
I have this album and is one of my most treasured, as far as I know was never brought out on CD.
My favourite track being "crying in the rain".
As I play this album a lot I recently converted it using Audacity so that I would not wear out the original vinyl obviously not as good though...

I have Sing Children Sing, Earth Mother and Moon Bathing. Each gatefold LP is in great condition with lovey pictures of Lesley. I hadn't realised that Elton John supported both Lesley and Kiki Dee in the 70's until now. The other interesting discovery was seeing Chris Spedding playing on all 3 albums. After Chris played with Jack Bruce on Harmony Row in 1971, the gig with Lesley would have surprised people at the time. I'll play the album's again after a long absence.
