Nice! Hopefully the engine hasn't been tuned to the edge of destruction - sadly quite a few are, or certainly "were". Pretty spectacular when they eventually let go but you wouldn't want to be at the controls when it happens.

That should not be allowed even if he had "screwed" about with the design.

Probably the bits are worth more than the repair costs.

Thankfully it looks like a replica rather than the real thing.

It's a 2/3 scale carbon fibre replica.
I think the engine is a Packard Merlin, tuned to rev to about 3,600rpm instead of the usual 2,800 for a RR Merlin. About three million per engine.... £ or $? Does it matter?
