Foobar / WASAPI / HiFace

Ok I've just installed all of this and i can't seem to get it to playback correctly using FLAC files?

It starts to play then gets all jumpy as if the buffer is over running???

I've tried moving the buffer down to 560 and then up in increments to over 2000 ms (it gets worse the long the delay).

I have installed:

Windows 7
Foobar 1.0.3
HiFace 1.0.3

My output is WASAPI: SPDIF Iterface (hiface)
I have had playback on bith 16bit and 24bit with same issues?

I'm running the flac playlist from the CUE files

Any ideas? Should I turn anything off you think? EQ for instance?

Same setup -- but my DSP list is empty.

I have a different problem -- when I scroll a track slider ahead the sound stops and does not come back. I have to stop the track and start it over again form beginning. Very annoying.

I had that problem and never solved it AMA!

I must admit that I never ran Foobar from CUE files. I just put the individual flac files in a single directory for each album, numbering them 01, 02, 03 etc. If you want the cover artwork to show, save the cover art as a jpeg file and called the file Cover.

I found that I much preferred the interface of J.River Media Center 15 but I needed to do a lot of fiddling to get it to work in WASAPI mode. I have posted about this on the forum.

Good luck with getting things running

...and there are many other ways. And Foobar is basically unlimited as to how you do this. Embedded art, folder jpg, art folder, etc...

With the stock Foobar, folder.jpg, front, jpg, and cover.jpg, should all work.

I used to call cover with Front.jpg -- it works.

I also like keeping various artworks: like Backs and Inner.
