Record shops in Brighton?

I will be in Brighton on Tuesday - any recommendations for record shops to browse?

North Laine has the best selection. Borderline in Gardner Street does 60's 70's psychedelia, Prog, folk, jazz and rock, soul, r&b, and contemporary dance, alt country etc.. Mainly CD but some vinyl. Across The Tracks in Sydney Street has large collection of mainstream, soul and dance 2nd hand CD's and a good selection of 60's and 70's rock, jazz, soul and psychedelia vinyl, ditto Wax Factor in Trafalgar Street (a bit overpriced).

Thanks Malky.

I had a very pleasant browse in all three stores.

Borderline was a tad expensive although they had a good selection of audiofile pressings. Sadly nothing there for me. Nicely laid out store and easy to browse.

Wax Factor - yes, their vinyl is overpriced and whilst they had a huge selection they didn't have so much by way of collectables and rarities. Picked up a couple of records and cds there.

Across The Tracks. Great place. It just needs to be about four times the size to have a decent browse. Lots and lots of gems there. Picked up a couple of King Crimson, Kevin Ayers and a near mint copy of Let It Be. Fairly priced too. Note to myself - go back in two/three months time and have another browse. I was tempted to buy a numbered copy of the White Album - but resisted, for the time being.

Glad you enjoyed it. Yep, ATR has always done me a fair price when trading in. Some other places I could mention are the sort who offer peanuts then you see your gear the next week at top whack prices.
