Main Spur and Electrician - help

Posted by: ashrafs on 05 March 2007

Hi

Intending to install a main spur for my system but having difficulty finding an electrician. Wasn't there someone on this forum who knew an electrician from Aylesbury or Amersham way, who had installed main spurs for hifi systems ? Don't want to rely on yellow pages to find someone.

I've asked friends but they think I am mad when they ask why I want a sparky and shouldn't i do a deal with the Iranian nuclear bodies to power up the system.

e-mail address is on my profile.

would really appreciate some help as struggling with this one.

Why not ?

This isn't rocket science - any qualified (& therefore presumably competent) electrician will be perfectly satisfactory.

I agree, any qualified electrician will be able to fit a dedicated spur...Every kitchen has one...why not every hifi. Smile

i think the concern is of quality of work and i'd rather rely on recommendations people have used. Sure all mechanics can repair cars, all plumbers can do your central heating, etc

I agree, you want someone who doesn't look at you like you are mad! Unfortunately the chap who did mine lives in Chichester. A Forum member local to you must have a recommendation, surely.

ashrafs - if you do find someone near Aylesbury, I'd be interested to hear about them
