Bob Marley Live at The Rainbow
BBC 4 Friday 27th July 2007, 22:00 to 23:10 (starting in 8 days)
A legendary 1977 concert from the Rainbow Theatre in London. Featuring classic numbers such as Trenchtown Rock, Rebel Music, I Shot the Sheriff and No Woman, No Cry.
Arena: Bob Marley Exodus '77
BBC 4 Friday 27th July 2007, 23:10 to 00:40
In the summer of 1977, Bob Marley, with his album Exodus and legendary concert at the Rainbow, took reggae music and the message of Rastafari to a world that hitherto had been exposed to neither. This programme is a visual evocation of the world of 1977 and of the spirit of Marley's most significant album. It is not a film about the making of an album, it's a film about an artist and his world; about the impact of the world on Bob Marley and of Bob Marley on the world.
