Finally going to do it. Can't stand the stress anymore.

Well, after being in from the beginning of a new-start company for the last 27 months, my ex-girlfriend has finally had enough of the moods I'm coming home in. I've given the company almost everything I can, even after being shat on repeatedly.
So, tomorrow, they'll recieve a short and to the point letter terminating my employment. I don't have a job to go to quite yet, but have a good one lined up that is safe as safe can be in the current climate (MOD project, short of manpower).
So, a little silly, but we can get by. And I need to recover my self-esteem and sleep.
I love my wife and couldn't do this without her support. Here's to a wonderful, or just ok-ish, 2009!

Are you sure it's just the job that's wearing you out, Tony?!!

Good luck with the move, Tony. Life is way too short to spend in a job that doesn't work for you.

Good luck Tony,
killing yourself and your relationship in a job you are unhappy in for a few pieces of silver is never sensible, not even in bad times.

Just the one shot at life so make it a goodie.
Best of luck, sounds like the correct choice anyway.

I hope you are back home with a skip in your step and a smile on your face!

Thanks, all.
If I wore a hat, it would be at a jaunty angle!
It seems that a fair number of other guys at the place are poised to go too. £850/week, after deductions, in Amsterdam seems to be quite persuasive.
Discuss.....

Tony,
A good decision I think, work might not always be a cause for celebration but you owe it to yourself and your family and yourself to seek work you find as enjoyable as possible.
Good luck,
Jonathan

Well, I left before the end of my notice period. I feel so sorry for the guys left behind. I won't go into details about the company here, but either Tornado or Apache helicopter beckons.....
