Whats with Naim's Gwyneth Herbert in 44.1k only?

Posted here because distributed audio is the only way to play back audio sampled > 44k1 that I know. The HDX seems capable of it, so why doesn't Naim have say a 96k/24 version of this at it's download store? Could have been my first hi-res purchase...

I suppose it depends on the original recording. I'm sure if it was 24/96 then Naim would have made that available. Probably worth dropping Naim label a line to find out why. I'm sure the 16/44.1 version will sound very fine.

There probably will be a hi res release, but they just don't whip them out....they take time to process and make for retail sale.

This is the same as HD tracks download site....only a handful of albums from their catalogue are available as 24/96.

We just need to be patient, and as PC Stockton says, appreciate that it is in full resolution for download, not just mp3 quality.
