72/hi to 52 s/c for £100

Hi--attention seekers unite.
No I'm afraid its not a dream sale. A very catch your attention title I know.
2 months ago I upgraded 72/hi to s/h 52/s/c. It cost me a good deal more than £100--my cash flow is still only dripping becuase of it.
2 weeks ago I upgraded the mains feeding my system--the details of which I don't want to go into--its become a repetitve emotive issue around here.
I have done a lot of listening all items warmed up.
52 s/c was a great improvement--many here have said its one of the biggest you can make--biggest I had made till 2weeks ago at least.
72/hi new mains versus 52/sc old mains no contest--friends frequently visiting + my 'not a hifi fan' better-half went "wow"
The 72/hi new mains just blows the 52/s/c/old mains away.

The 72/hi/new from Rollins Sax to Jamiroquai synth makes me sit there in wonderment--track rolls into track no finding your best sounding track to overcome the last 'bad cd' that can sound messy and incoherent on the 52/s/c/old. The sound rises above the speakers so I no longer stare at them as I used to (the hifi stare)a note of a sax slams in the way only a snare drum used to.
Anything wrong with the 52--Am I going to sell it--no-- 72/hi/new v 52s/c/new is another improvement again just a much lesser one.

Very outrageous claim I know--my first (I think but there can be no doubt in this audition)--almost like the old Mana days of marantz/mana better than CDS1/hutter. Well I did the mana thing -an upgrade yes(not inexpensive) but not a transformation.

My long drawn out point?
1)Add my voice to those fanatics crapping on about mains.(sorry) Sure you might not have room for 10 seperate spurs/more consumer units and care more about the serious risks of mucking around with all ya fuses than some others. Mine is certainly not the full monty--but optimising as you can will simply be like my headline title-a riculous bargain.
I think the money I've spent on HiFi is a little silly at times(modest for some here)--but since the mains thing it simply is the most desireable thing I own--sod the car.VFM

2)Something has got to be done in the hifi Industry about getting rid of the strangling mechanical fuse, but maintain safety--?some electronic ampere invisible monitoring device(not just RCD) with a high quality flick switch for safety.I can't imagine any other market for it though that high end hifi.?House Supply cable branching to your hifi--a safety device there with mains leads wired direct to that.

A repetitive post I know--but most reading this thread will have spent a large portion of there free cash on Hifi--I'm just repeating a bargain (if there are some unconverted)so you can buy more of what ever else rings your bell (sorry Naim). Buy yourself a 'megacap' from your local electrician.

Not sure I was trying to advocate mana(expensive 'upgrade')-never been than impressed or removing your fuses when unsafe
