HDX Transport only?

I wonder if this is on the cards as the idea of running it into the new Naim DAC, greatly appeals to me.

I will definititely purchase the new DAC and am scratching my head about a suitable transport. Currently my preference would be for a Cyrus CDXTse as it's unrivalled at it's price point. But I'd love to store my entire CD collection on a hard drive, just not a computer based one as I don't want to go throught all the hassle of networks etc.

Anybody know of other stand alone storage devices other than the HDX? Of course if funds were not an issue I'd have a HDX!

OK, just before I move this one to the Distributed Audio Room, have you considered an NS01? You save a bundle on the HDX and, apart from the in-built touch-screen, you only lose the expensive bits from the HDX that you won't need if running as a transport into the Naim DAC. If funds won't stretch to an HDX then this may be the answer...
