I don't really think the Scorpions ones are all that bad. Definitely tongue in cheek. . . but did anyone ever actually request "Ken" I wonder?

Should that be Leibe Nutter
Shurely there is a Valentine film about this guy...................... "Hello beautiful I just brought you a token of my love"(Kitchen Knife hidden in bouquet)

I am disappointed to see this one at No 80:
'Hev yew got a loight, bor?'
A fine record of unadulterated Norfolk dialect before becoming hideously infected by the grating and ubiquitous Lingua Esturina. 'Cor blimey mate, innit'.
Sadly, Allan Smethurst became a victim of the rock and roll lifestyle. The 'couple of drinks' to overcome stage fright eventually turned into chronic alcoholism for the last 20+ years of his life. He died in December 2000 aged 73.
If anyone has a spare copy of the Singing Postman, I will very happily rehouse it.

James, please click here to hear the singing postman
Not to be confused with Jon The Postman
Another sad case was Pink and Perky who I understood split owing to musical differences, but then Perky turned to drink when his solo career hit the rocks - it must be true I heard Danny Baker say it on TV.

A sad tale James. I remember his big break on Look East (or maybe the other side) back in the late sixties.
Just cannot get away from Heino's (what, it really is a bloke?) divergent stare.

Then check out Roger Daltrey on the My Generation album cover. Are they, perhaps, related?

Clearly I have enjoyed a sheltered upbringing - anything I could offer would be way too tame!

What about the Wurzels?

Posted on: 19 February 2008 by Guido Fawkes
Does anybody know in what song did the Worzels sing the lines
I've been to Barrow Gurney,
To see my cousin Ernie.
