LP12 - bolt behind motor

Posted by: sean on 10 October 2003

I did'ent realise there had been a mod to the deck until recently. Linn has quoted me a price of 130 pounds plus labour to fit a new top plate with the appropriate bolt hole.

Being an engineer, I am open to a little DIY and would like to know the precice location of the bolt in the top plate.

Many thanks,

Sean.

there's been a decent discussion on Pink Fish regarding this production change, and modification approximating the same. It is said to make a decent difference - have been considering doing the same myself.

If you search on the web you'll find it - must repect our host's wishes not to link to it from here. HTH.

Well worth doing. I drilled a hole through the middle of the corner brace and JB Welded a flange nut to the underside of the top plate for the bolt to thread into, so it's an invisible job, if slighly fiddly to implement.
