Uniti

Hi. If I connect a Naim Uniti to an AV amp does this compromise the sound quality from the Uniti in any way? Is there a better solution

You can connect the Uniti via unity gain to a processor or AV receiver. When used this way, performance should not be compromised. Only issue that may arise is the possibility of an earth loop which will compromise sound quality, but this is something that can be sorted and depends greatly on the equipment connected to the AV system.

Thanks for this. $64,000 question - how do I know with AV Receiver will be ok?

Often it's not the receiver but whatever is connected to it. Cable feeds are notoriously bad, and TVs often float at half mains voltage and look for a nice route to earth - unfortunately, Naim's have a fabulous earthing system that provides just the route they are looking for. Isolators can cure this. Or else use optical digital connection, which also isolates the nasty bits.

If you have any issues there are lots of threads on here and elsewhere on the web. Also your dealer will be very familiar with most issues and will be able to sort them out for you.
