Edinburgh date is on a holiday weekend when we're away, innit - f**king typical, My madness at noticing this at the weekend was only assuaged by discovering that Joe Jackson is playing a date in Edinburgh when I can go
(31st May)

Hey !! You ain't gonna miss me on this one ! I'm already bookin my flight. Think she'll sing ' Chuck E's in Love' ??

Im seeing her at the jazz cafe in Camden.
I have seen her three times before and she has never played Chuck E's in love. I had to console myself with all the other less well known stuff. I still manged to keep a smile on my face

Looking forward hearing her again. Last time was when she was touring the Pop Pop album.
The set will most probabaly be from the last album wich will be fine by me. Like that album a lot.
She has never disappointed me, performing.

What's this with the bedding dept. You wouldn't go in there of your own accord so the wife and kids must have dragged you in.
Noticed that there is at least another show cancelled on the tour. Just our luck.

I admire their tenacity.............. and at their age. I think i'm radical these days if I have an extra glass of Sov Blonc at the end of the evening.

It seems that there are still 119 seats according to their web site for the Birmingham show as of 5 minutes ago. Won't be able to get down there due to work commitments.
I would have thought that she would have sold out by now. Maybe she ain't popular anymore and that maybe why she cancelled the Scottish leg of her tour. Lack of ticket sales.

Apparently it's a conflict in her schedule.
The tickets were only on sale in Edinburgh for a few days so I doubt they would have gauged that. I think its more to do with the n'er do well's that bought the tickets

Well at Camden last night she was absolutely bursting at the seams with mojo. This is the third time I have seen her and it was by a comfortable margin the best performance of the three. She has a tremendous four piece band and the bulk of the gig is electric guitars.
She cam out and blew the crowd away with Last chance texico. From then on in it was reverential. The jazz cafe can often be a noisy place but last night by and large it was hushed silence during performances folowed by really warm applause. What is really staggering is that her voice sounded every bit as controlled, powerful and sublime as it did on the original recordings.
I guess that there would be tickets on the door available tonight. If you can make the journey and want to see one of the most important female singer songwriters of the last quarter century at the top of her game then this comes with a gold star recommendation.
As an aside, she was by far the happiest I have seen her. Girl at her Volcano.

Ken
I don't know where you live now but if there was a ever a concert that justified a bit of a journey then this one is it!
If music is religion then this gig felt like going to church.
