Really really bad acting awards

Posted by: Rasher on 14 May 2007

I've been in this weekend and I watched some TV. I saw a prog with Nick Frost & Simon Pegg doing TV shows from their (and my) childhood, among them being that really awful Blake's 7 which had a good first 2 episodes and then turned into a soap, but featured probably the worst acting ever (I was only a kid, but even I noticed this at the time).

Any of the Bond movies with Roger Moore. Recently watched some with my son. Wooden isn't in it.

I'd say Arnold Schwarzenegger but that doesn't really qualify as acting.

Anything with Ewan McGregor.

Sean Bean in Lord Of The Rings. Not a dissimilar performance to Avon in Blake's 7.

Anything with Sylvester Stallone - especially Rocky IV.

Blakes 7 was a great series!

Anything with:-

1) Madonna
2) Sting
3) Jack Nicholson

In it.

1) Is just an ambitious parvenu hack with minimal talent; 2) Well, he's Sting innee? 3) Is the most overrated actor of all time, a fat smug misogynistic old ham who did some good work in the earl 70s but who now just grins creepily and shouts.

Aww a tad unfair methinks - Jack Nicholson did do well in 'As good as it gets' (he even got an Oscar as I recall)otherwise I agree on all points. Madonna proves that a minimum of talent coupled with a pathological ambition is enough to make anyone a star.

Well as he always said live and let die - at least he was better than Sean Connery, he said hoping to avoid controversy.

What about that great film Santa Claus Conquers the Martians?
